Psoriasis is a non-contagious rash that most commonly occurs on the elbows, knees, and scalp, but can occur anywhere on the body. Psoriasis is a chronic condition that can be successfully treated and affects 2% of the population. In addition to having a rash, patients with psoriasis may also have joint pain (psoriatic arthritis).
