LASER TREATMENTS

Laser Hair Reduction

During hair reduction treatments, energy delivered by the laser is absorbed by the dark hair shaft, allowing for treatment of the hair root. Each hair reduction session will capture approximately one-third of the hairs in the necessary growth stage to disable the hair follicle, so multiple treatments may be necessary. Hair begins to fall out two to three weeks after each treatment and as treatments continue, less and less hair will grow back. Full results should be achieved within six to twelve months. We have several lasers that can be used for all different skin and hair types.

Erbium: Yag Laser

This laser can effectively resurface mild to deep wrinkles, improve texture, and revise scars. The laser can be used to effectively remove or ablate damaged skin in specific zones or over the entire face. The healthy skin surrounding the treatment zone promotes a faster healing time. Renewed skin will begin surfacing approximately one week after treatment takes place and although the skin heals within two to four weeks, redness can persist for several months. Once you have fully healed, you should notice a significant improvement in the texture of skin and depth of wrinkles. Collagen remodeling continues for up to twelve months after the procedure.

Micro-Profractional and Profractional XC™

The Profractional XC™ is the latest advancement in fractionated laser resurfacing. This treatment is effective for treatment of fine lines and wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation like age spots, birth marks, hyperpigmentation, sun spots, and collagen remodeling for anti-aging. During this treatment, a deep ablative laser is applied not to the entire surface of the skin, as in traditional laser skin resurfacing, but only on select tiny columns covering as little as 1.5 % to 60% of the skin surface area. This approach allows the laser to penetrate very deeply for effective collagen remodeling, while the surrounding intact tissue promotes rapid healing.

VBEAM

Vbeam is a pulsed dye laser, which means that the laser energy is delivered in pulses and a dye is used to generate laser beams of different colors. Since the Vbeam is used to treat dilated blood vessels, as in Rosacea. The target of the vascular laser is hemoglobin, the red protein in blood cells in the blood vessels. Skin cells that surround dilated blood vessels are not damaged. Vbeam can also be effective to treat angiomas, birthmarks, scars, leg veins and bruises. Multiple treatments might be necessary to achieve optimal results with minimal downtown.

PICO

Pico laser is a dual wavelength 450 pico-second pulse duration laser for comfortable and convenient tattoo removal and skin revitalization treatments for wrinkles, acne scars and pigment like freckles and sunspots, Melasma, poikiloderma and discoloration. Pico laser energy is non-thermal and is delivered using a photo-mechanical effect with high-peak powers. The ultra-short pulse durations shatter pigment without causing thermal damage. Pico laser delivers faster than almost any other laser on the market (in trillionths of a second) and the tiny particles that make up pigment and tattoo ink are shattered without harming the surrounding tissue. The minimal heat from the Pico laser translates into less tissue damage and discomfort during treatment.
