No-show/ Late Cancellation Policy

No-show/ Late Cancellation Policy

We schedule our appointments so that each patient receives the right amount of time and attention from our providers.  As a courtesy, and to help patients remember their scheduled appointments, Dermatology Specialists send reminders in advance of your appointment time. If your schedule changes and you cannot keep your appointment, please do so via a phone call during regular business hours of 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday at 303-442-6647 at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time to avoid being charged a no-show fee. We cannot accept email or text messages for cancellations as there is no way to guarantee delivery of the message. Please contact us as soon as you become aware you need to reschedule and give us at least 24 hours’ notice.

Effective June 9, 2023. Dermatology Specialists will be requiring patients to keep a card on file when scheduling all esthetician appointments.  If the patient does not cancel/reschedule their appointment at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled appointment, or if they no-show for their appointment, a $50 no-show/cancellation fee will be charged to the patient’s card on file.  These “no-show charges” are not reimbursable by your insurance company. You will be charged directly.  Please note that a continued history of no-shows may result in dismissal from Dermatology Specialists.  Consultation visits that are repeatedly canceled will count towards the patient’s no-show record and may result in refusal to schedule any future appointments.

Exceptions to this policy where there will be no charge are as follows:

  • Personal illness or illness within the family or extended family.
  • Extreme weather conditions preventing safe travel.
  • Personal family emergency (may vary per case).
