Micro-Needling

AVAILABLE AT OUR BOULDER, LOUISVILLE, AND WESTMINSTER LOCATIONS

Automated Micro-Needling

An advanced technique in aesthetic medicine for treating the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in improvement of the appearance of wrinkles. Automated micro-needling also creates superficial micro-channels which can be used with topical gels, creams, and serums to help improve the appearance of the skin.

Micro-Needling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Used during micro-needling and post-ablative laser procedures for skin rejuvenation, PRP is derived from your body’s own growth factor to promote faster wound healing, tissue repair, cell growth and collagen production. PRP is a high concentration of platelets surrounded in its own plasma. A small blood draw is performed, then your blood is spun down in our lab to separate the red blood cells from the plasma. The PRP is then applied directly to the skin. Since the PRP is processed from your own blood, there is little risk of an allergic reaction or rejection.
