DYSPORT®

We use Dysport® to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. Made from a purified protein, Dysport® injections relax muscles that cause wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look.  The FDA approved the use of these sorts of products for the area between the eyes, the areas surrounding the eyes, the forehead, and the neck to smooth crow’s feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. We can also treat excessive sweating of the hands, feet, and underarms.

Dysport® has been used throughout the world safely for cosmetic purposes for decades. In 2009, Dr. Allen conducted his own case studies comparing Botox to Dysport and found that, in current doses, Dysport® lasts longer and onsets faster than Botox, more recent large-scale studies have also confirmed this finding. He has since become a national trainer for Dysport®.

Results

Full results may take two weeks to take full effect and will last approximately four months. This is a cosmetic treatment that may need to be repeated on a four month schedule in order to maintain results and prevent future wrinkles.

During my appointment

Your skin doctor will evaluate the condition of your skin, discuss your concerns and answer any questions you may have about Dysport treatment. Once treatment areas have been identified, he or she will inject Dysport into the facial muscles. In just a few minutes, you’ll be free to carry on with the rest of your day. It usually takes a little time to notice the full effect of treatment, but in a week to 10 days, the treated areas will begin to look less wrinkled.

Is Dysport a long lasting treatment?

You can generally expect your skin to remain smoother for approximately three to six months after you receive Dysport treatment. If you don’t continue to receive injections, the effect of the toxin will eventually wear off, and your wrinkles will reappear. Scheduling regular appointments will help you enjoy the full benefits of this innovative cosmetic treatment.
